Through a systematic literature review, and Stakeholder workshop mapping issues along the food chain in Sweden for further study. Photo credit Genevieve Metsonstakeholder input from across the food chain (through workshops and interviews) we have been evaluating how there are trade-offs, synergies, as well as research gaps among interventions in the Swedish context. More specifically we have been looking at:
- high agricultural production, economic profitability
- climate change mitigation and adaptation
- environmental impacts (eutrophication and biodiversity)
- animal welfare
- livestock epidemiology
This was done with a specific focus on how the spatial arrangement of resources and burdens (e.g., agricultural crops, animals, organic waste) and infrastructure related to transport connects these thematic issues to proposed interventions in the literature.
