The Visualization Center C in Norrk枚ping is a joint effort of Link枚ping University, Norrk枚ping municipality and RISE Interactive.
C-research is a center for coordination of visualization research and for using visualization in research and education. It represents Link枚ping University in the Visualization Center C context and acts as the interface between the university and the Visualization Center C members and its external contacts.
The mission of C-Research is to coordinate activities between the units within the Visualization Center C and Link枚ping University. C-Research is itself also a unit within the Visualization Center. Specifically, the objectives of C-Research are:
- Channel research and development in Visualization and its applications in other sciences at Link枚ping University to all other units within the Visualization Center C, foremost and specifically the public science center arena.
- Catalyze increased use of visualization in research and education at Link枚ping University and provide the infrastructure at C for research and education at LiU.
- Participate and conduct research in immersive visualization and visualization in public spaces and venues.
