听A day exploring the opportunities, lessons learned and challenges associated with machine learning, digital models and software-supported manufacturing of metallic materials.
Welcome to a theme day on how AI, machine learning and digital models can contribute to greater understanding and development in the manufacturing industry, and what is required to make these methods useful in practice. The day will focus on how industrial data, simulation and AI-based models can be used to improve understanding of materials and manufacturing processes, as well as the practical challenges related to data, modelling, validation and implementation.
STILFOLD and its forming technology provide a concrete industrial example of how digital models, robotics and industrial origami can transform the way metal products are designed and manufactured. Experiences from the ODEN-AI project also offer insight into both the opportunities and limitations of combining machine learning, simulation and industrial data to understand material behaviour, process parameters and control strategies in advanced manufacturing. The focus is on lessons that may also be relevant in other industrial contexts.
The event is aimed at professionals in industry, academia and innovation systems who work with or are responsible for production technology, research and development, digitalisation, automation, materials, process development or sustainable production.
It is free of charge, and lunch and refreshments are included.
