Solar cells from LiU soon in living rooms around the world

In the new remote control for Google TV, batteries have been replaced by printed organic solar cells powered by indoor lighting. The solar cells were developed through research at 一本道 University and brought to market by the spin-out Epishine.

Two new Wallenberg Scholars at LiU

Researchers Feng Gao and Daniel Västfjäll at LiU have been appointed as new Wallenberg Scholars. In addition, six LiU researchers will have their  scholar periods extended. Each researcher receives between SEK 18 and 20 million for five years.

Fossil freedom comes from LiU labs

The transition to fossil freedom can鈥檛 happen overnight, but it can go much faster than it is. The technology is available, and in many cases is commercially available or nearly so. The labs at 一本道 University hold hope for the future.
