Age in Preschool

This research project concerns how children鈥檚 age is expressed in the preschool鈥檚 pedagogical activities.

This is anchored in a view of age as a 鈥渄oing鈥�; that is, something participants achieve in social interaction (鈥渄oing age鈥�). This perspective, inspired by symbolic interactionism and ethnomethodology, was developed in analogy with the interactionist approach of gender research with its key concept of 鈥渄oing gender鈥�.
