The risk of developing breast cancer is higher in what are known as dense breasts. Researchers at LiU have now shown that there are major biological differences between dense breasts and nondense breasts.
We carry out research in the fields of experimental orthopedics, surgery and oncology.
What characterizes the Department of Biomedical and Clinical Sciences (BKV) is the wide breadth of research and education. BKV is one of the largest departments at LiU with affiliation mainly to the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
